The Academic Internship Program allows students to integrate academic theory and ‘real world' practice, engage in research that explores the relationship between the two, and gain hands-on experience in professional settings.
The Women's Center, the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center, the Cross-Cultural Center, the Raza Resource Centro, the Black Resource Center, and the Student Veterans Resource Center are collectively known as the Campus Community Centers. Together the centers facilitate interactive learning, promote self-awareness, foster leadership development, encourage dialogue, and challenge traditional notions of diversity.
The Center for Ethics and Spirituality provides students with secular counseling, discussion, and education programs relating to spiritual, moral, and ethical issues and questions that may arise within the UCSD community of students, scholars, workers, and campus affiliates.
As the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) of UCSD, the Office of Academic Support and Instructional Services (OASIS) facilitates the intellectual and personal development of UC San Diego students, with a particular focus on students who are first-generation, high financial need, and/or underrepresented. Through a challenging and supportive environment that emphasizes collaboration, validation, equity, and social justice, OASIS contributes positively to students’ learning, persistence, achievement, and empowerment.

Functioning underneath the University of California - San Diego Bioregional Center for Sustainability Science, Planning and Design, Roger's Urban Farmlab is home to a variety of student-lead projects designed to help reduce food waste and carbon emissions while simultaneously producing organic, locally-grown produce for the UCSD Faculty Club and the Triton Food Pantry.
Basic Needs refers to the most essential resources required to thrive as a student, which includes access to nutritious food, stable housing, and financial wellness resources. The Hub is a new UC San Diego space that offers students the opportunity to engage in and link to Basic Needs resources. We are open as of Winter Quarter 2018! We provide resource referrals for registered UC San Diego students from a collective of on campus program collaborations and off campus program partnerships in the greater San Diego area.
The Teaching + Learning Commons offers programs and services which create a contiguous, multi-layered network of support that jointly enhance learning and increase academic success.
The Zone is proud to be a member of University Centers (Price Center and Student Center). It is the hub of UC San Diego campus life, providing students, and the UC San Diego community, with spaces to eat, shop, play, relax, meet, and belong.
