Registered students with UC SHIP or RAFT pay no fee to visit Nurses Clinic. There is a fee for students without UC SHIP,as well as eligible Fee-for-Service patients. See the "Cost of Services" page.
Some expenses could be: over-the-counter items, vaccines, the cost of the PPD used in TB skin testing, lab or xray fees. Refer to the
Cost of Services page for a list of fees.
Flu clinics will be held at the Zone
on the following dates (bring student ID):
- Friday Jan 24, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Friday Jan 31, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Walk-in Flu Vaccine Clinic for registered students only (bring student ID). Note, Tdap vaccine will also be available for incoming students to complete their immunization requirement.
- Cost: Influenza: $0 for students with SHIP; all others $30
- Cost: Tdap: $0 for students with SHIP, all others $50
TB Skin Testing - A two step process - PPD placement on the first visit and evaluation of PPD placement site 48-72 hours later at the second visit. Please note: skin test placement is done every day
except Thursdays. Skin test reading is done every weekday.
Vaccinations/Immunizations/Titers - (not incoming vaccine requirements - incoming students must request an appointment). Travel-related immunizations also require appointments. Influenza,
Hep A & B, Tetanus,
Tdap (Pertussis) booster,
Measles/Mumps/Rubella, Polio, Hepatitis, Chickenpox, Meningococcal, Rabies, Varicella and
Ear wax removal - Patients should be evaluated prior to removal, since softening of the wax should be done at home before the appointment. Read more about

We have an After Hours Nurse Advice Line available. Any time Student Health Services is closed, you can call our regular telephone number 858-534-3300 and select the option "After Hours Advice" to speak with a registered nurse who will assist you in obtaining the appropriate care.
