FITstop - A Physical Fitness Assessment
The FITstop assessment measures your level of fitness compared to others in your age group. The four specific categories measured are: cardiovascular health; muscular strength and endurance; body weight and composition; and flexibility.
We use equipment and exercises to measure your blood pressure, heart rate, percent of body fat, flexibility, cardiovascular health, endurance, abdominal strength and upper body strength.
Who does the testing? Student Health Advocates that have been specially trained to administer this physical assessment.
Is there a fee? No, this is a free service for UC San Diego students.
How long will it take? It takes approximately 15 minutes to complete the assessment
Where do I sign up? You do not have to sign up ahead of time - just walk in!
in RIMAC (by the lockers), Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m., or Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m. (weeks 2-10)
What should I wear? Wear comfortable, nonrestrictive clothes that will allow you to stretch and reach easily (shorts, T-shirt, sweatshirt). Shoes with flat heels such as running shoes, tennis shoes or walking shoes are required.
