This means that smoking, use the use of smokeless tobacco products, the use of unregulated nicotine products and the use of electronic smoking devices (which includes e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited on all University controlled properties. Smoking Cessation Counseling
If you are a student and a smoker who would like to quit, Student Health Services can help. You can make an appointment for individual counseling with a Health Educator at Student Health Services by calling (858) 822-5926. Smoking cessation appointments at SHS are free, and cessation aids are available.
If you prefer phone counseling to help you quit, call the California Smokers' Helpline at (800) NO-BUTTS.
Prepare to Quit Smoking Workshops
If you are thinking of quitting, plan to attend a "Prepare to Quit Smoking" workshop led by a trained health educator who can assist you in determining your readiness, making a plan and QUITTING! No appointment is needed. Smoking cessation aides are also available.
